The Spinaxis® FAS is a magnetic sensor designed for contactless angle measurement. The IC detects the absolute angular position of a permanent magnet, typically a diametrically magnetized cylinder attached to a shaft. The particularity of FAS is an extremely fast acquisition and processing, allowing angle measurement with very low lag, less than 1 deg, up to 120’000rpm. Since the measurement is local, the user has great flexibility to choose magnet shapes and configurations. This helps relaxing mechanical tolerances. If the end of shaft position is not available, the FAS can also operate away from the axis of rotation (“side-shaft” configuration).dzsc/19/4414/19441473.jpg
