TheAgilent 8163 optical power sensor is the right choice for accurate powermeasurements on fiberoptic devices. The modular sensor fits into all Agilent816x Lightwave mainframes and can be used singly or in multiples for parallel measurementsof multichannel devices. The output fiber is easily attached using Agilent''sflexible connector adapters or bare-fiber adapter
The modulecan run measurement applications like data logging, stability and recordingminimum and maximum values over time. Triggered synchronization with tunablelaser modules enables powerful spectral measurements, with the advantages ofhigher resolution, better polarization dependence and cost-and-time-efficientmultichannel expandability. The module logs up to 20,000 samples with averagingtime as low as 100μs.
